Xijiu Jiaocang 1988 100ml

This is a 100 ml miniature of Xijiu "Cellar 1988" — and an old bottling, filled in 2011. With years of ageing, sauce-aroma baijiu grows rounder and gentler and its aroma more mellow and refined, giving aged stock its special value. Xijiu belongs to the Moutai group, made on the banks of Guizhou's Chishui River from glutinous sorghum and high-temperature wheat daqu, at around 53% ABV. A full body and a long aftertaste. The compact miniature suits tasting and keeping; older vintages are especially prized by collectors. Best sipped slowly, neat and at room temperature from a small cup.
