Smokehead Rum Rebel Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Finished in Caribbean rum casks — peat smoke and maltiness hit first with a drying, ashy quality and hints of damp earth and moss, followed by increasingly intense sweetness of sultanas and mango, golden syrup, white chocolate, caramel and marzipan — a distinctive fusion of smoke and tropical sweetness. Smokehead was launched in 2006 by independent bottler Ian Macleod Distillers, with the source distillery kept a closely guarded secret. It's built around Islay's boldest, most direct peat-smoke style, with a skull emblem and bold branding aimed at a younger audience.
