Hombo Shuzo's (Mars) Shinshu distillery sits at around 800 metres in Nagano — one of Japan's highest; its cool climate slows maturation into a light, refined single malt. "Yakushima The Y.A. #01" is a Mars blended malt matured on the island of Yakushima.
