Martell V.S.O.P Aged in Red Barrels, 40% ABV. V.S.O.P is a regulated grade requiring the youngest eau-de-vie in the blend to have aged at least four years. Its signature is maturation in red oak barrels, which lend a distinctive spiced character. The house notes describe intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit — mirabelle, greengage, apricot and vine peach — and an elegant, balanced palate of luscious fruit with wood and soft spice. Founded in 1715, Martell is the oldest of the great Cognac houses.
