This is Hennessy X.O Cognac (older presentation, barcoded). Cognac is brandy produced only in France's Cognac appellation, graded from VS and VSOP up to XO and XXO. Hennessy X.O, created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, effectively founded the X.O (Extra Old) category and remains its benchmark. Blended from over a hundred aged eaux-de-vie — dense layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate, cinnamon, orange peel, spice and oak; rich, full and long. A classic for premium gifting, entertaining and collecting — best savoured neat from a tulip glass at room temperature.
