A blend of lighter East Coast whiskies with peatier West Coast malts, crackling with cinnamon and pepper spice, sweetened by pear and apple, and finishing on vanilla with a wisp of smoke. Red Label is Johnnie Walker's entry point, bold and built for mixing. Johnnie Walker began as a grocer's shop opened by John Walker in Kilmarnock, Scotland, in 1820. Finding single malts of the day inconsistent, he began blending them to achieve a whisky that tasted the same every time. His son Alexander and grandson Alexander II built the brand into what is today the world's best-selling Scotch whisky.
