This is Lagavulin Distillers Edition (2018), an Islay single malt that builds on the 16 Year Old with a PX sherry-cask finish. PX richness of dried fruit entwines with Lagavulin's mighty peat smoke — smoke, dried fruits, dark sugar and profound layers; supremely rich. A bewitching smoke-meets-sherry release — best savoured neat.
