Auchentoshan 3 Wood Single Malt

Matured successively in bourbon, sherry and sweet PX sherry casks — hence "Three Wood" — with heavy notes of blackcurrant and plum, a hit of hazelnut, cinnamon and butterscotch, finishing on sweeter oak. The richest expression in the Auchentoshan range. Auchentoshan is a Lowland distillery near Glasgow and one of the few in Scotland to triple-distil its whisky — most Scotch single malt is distilled twice. The extra distillation gives an unusually light, clean spirit with bright citrus and honeyed notes and higher purity, a benchmark for the elegant Lowland style.
