Brora 34 Years Single Malt Scotch Bottled 2017

Brora was mothballed in 1983 and only reactivated in 2021, making every pre-2021 bottling exceptionally scarce. This 34-year-old, bottled in 2017, is sweet and syrupy on the palate with vanilla; tropical notes continue but are somewhat overpowered by the heavy vanilla, with kiwi fruit, lime and black pepper, finishing long, citrusy and vegetative with black pepper and cloves drawing it dry. At 51.9% ABV, a lightly peated Highland style and a legend among whisky collectors.
