🏴Caol Ila Islay 12 Years Single Malt Whisky
Pale straw in colour, with a fresh, appetising nose of subdued citrus fruit and very little smoke — with water, almond oil and a trace of olive oil emerge. Balanced and smooth-bodied. Caol Ila is one of Islay's lightest-smoking distilleries, with over 95% of its output going into blends such as Johnnie Walker Black Label. 43% ABV.
Food Pairing
Neat or with a little water. Pairs with seafood, white meat or mild cheese — a good introduction to the Islay style.
