Crown Royal Whisky

Seagram's blenders sampled some 600 candidate whiskies before settling on a blend of 50, aged across new charred oak, vintage charred oak and French oak. Light yet rich and complex on the nose; lightly sweet on the palate with the spicy character typical of Canadian rye, finishing long, peppery and warm, with vanilla, warm oak and a touch of butterscotch. Created in 1939 to mark a royal visit to Canada — a signature Canadian whisky, recognisable by its purple velvet bag.
