Aperol, one of Italy's most iconic aperitif liqueurs, was created in Padua in 1919 from bitter orange, rhubarb root and herbs, at a low 11% ABV. Vividly orange-red in colour, it offers bitter orange, rhubarb and light herbal notes on the nose, and a crisp, bittersweet, appetite-whetting palate — the soul of the Aperol Spritz.
