Saero is a soju brand launched in 2022 by Lotte Chilsung's liquor division — the company's first newly developed soju in sixteen years. Its defining feature is a zero-sugar formulation, replacing fructose with alternative sweeteners and adding a proportion of distilled soju for a cleaner, crisper body aimed at health-conscious younger drinkers. Sales passed 100 million 360ml bottles within seven months of launch.
